Honorable mentions/other: Half Past Fate (visual novel-esque dating sim, low time commitment), Arcade Spirits (really beautiful graphics, more visual novel than game), Best Friend Forever (dog adoption premise had me hooked, but it is expensive/predictable and feels like a rip off of Dream Daddy, you can finish the whole game 4 hours – pick up if on sale), Purrfect Date (looking forward to this: cats!).

People also like: Doki Doki Literature Club (this is not for children, anxious adults, or stoners as it is scary and breaks the fourth wall apparently), LongStory (middle school dating sim).
